Place of Hope
There are moments in life that change us forever.
The death of a spouse, parent, child, sibling, close friend, or beloved companion can leave us feeling as though the world has stopped while everyone else continues moving forward. In those moments, it’s common to feel overwhelmed, confused, lonely, and uncertain about what comes next.
If you’ve found your way here, I want you to know one thing:
You are not alone.
What is Grief?
Grief is the emotional, physical, and psychological response to loss. It can affect how we think, feel, sleep, work, and interact with others.
Common experiences of grief may include:
* Sadness and loneliness
* Anger or frustration
* Difficulty concentrating
* Changes in sleep or appetite
* Feelings of guilt or regret
* Moments of deep longing
* Feeling overwhelmed by memories or reminders
Grief is not a sign of weakness. It is a reflection of the love, connection, and meaning attached to what has been lost.
Grief Is Personal
Grief is one of life’s most profound and deeply personal experiences. Every relationship is unique, and every loss is experienced differently.
Unfortunately, many grieving people hear well-intentioned comments such as:
- “You need to move on.”
- “It’s time to get over it.”
- “They’re in a better place.”
- “Stay strong.”
Although these words are usually meant to comfort, they can unintentionally make someone feel misunderstood or pressured to grieve on someone else’s timetable.
The truth is simple:
Grief doesn’t follow a schedule.
There is no “normal” amount of time to grieve, and there is no right or wrong way to experience loss.

What Is Grief Coaching?
Grief coaching is not about replacing therapy, offering quick solutions, or encouraging you to “move on.”
Instead, grief coaching provides a compassionate, forward-focused partnership that helps you navigate life after loss at your own pace.
As your coach, my role is to walk alongside you as you:
- Process the changes that loss has brought to your life
- Explore what healing looks like for you
- Rebuild confidence in your future
- Rediscover purpose and meaning
- Create healthy routines and goals for your next chapter
Grief coaching honors both your loss and your future.
You never have to choose between remembering the person you love and continuing to live a meaningful life.
Both can exist together.
There Is Hope
Healing does not mean forgetting.
Healing doesn’t erase love.
Healing doesn’t mean the pain magically disappears.
Healing means learning how to carry your love, your memories, and your loss while gradually opening your heart to hope again.
Some days will feel lighter.
Some days will be incredibly difficult.
Both are part of the journey.
Give yourself permission to take one day—and sometimes one moment—at a time.
